I've never waxed before, but I had laser done on my full legs today for the first time. There were definitely times when I thought "OUCH" but it was tolerable, and since bikini and underarms are a smaller area, I think it would be over quickly anyway. Some people compare it to being snapped with a hot rubber band, and that's pretty accurate. However, I've heard that the darker your skin is, the more pain you may experience because they have to use a higher setting to allow the laser to distinguish between your skin color and the color of the hair follicle. I'm white, with pale skin and dark hair, so they told me I'd have the least pain. Good luck! I think it's worth it.
